  1. Preheat over to 350.
  2. Remove wrappers from candy.
  3. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and egg in large bowl until well-blended.
  4. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternatively with milk to butter mixture, beating until well-blended.
  5. Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll in red & or green sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and cookies are set.
  7. Remove from oven; cool 2-3 minutes.
  8. Press candy into each cookie.
  9. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  10. Cool completely.
