Ingredients
- 2 oz Tennessee Bourbon
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz Bordeaux Superieur
- 1 wide strip of lemon zest
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, shake the bourbon, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice for about 20 seconds.
- Strain into a short rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Hold the back of a spoon just above the drink's surface and slowly pour the red wine over it into the cocktail, floating it gently on the top.
- Twist lemon zest over the cocktail and rub the edge of the glass with it.
- Then garnish glass with the zest.
- ** Resist the urge to stir it. Let the flavors "get to know each other" on their own. **
