Ingredients
- 2 cups scalded whole milk
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup and 1 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 pkgs yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 7 cups flour, sifted
Instructions
- Mix milk, salt, 1/2 cup sugar and butter over medium heat until just boiling
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Mix yeast, water, 1 tsp. sugar and wait until foamy.
- Add yeast mixture to cooled milk mixture.
- Add beaten eggs to mixture.
- Gradually add flour, mixing well until reaching desired dough consistency.
- Put in bowl, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Let sit on counter for 30 minutes.
- Punch down.
- Roll out and cut.
- Bake at 400* for 12-15 minutes.
