Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 # Italian sausage
- 1 lg. chopped onion
- 1 pressed garlic clove
- 1.5 tsp. fennel seed
- 1 can (28oz) crushed plum tomatoes, undrained
- 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 1.5 tsp. basil
- 1.5 tsp. oregano
- 1 # grated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450*f.
- In large frying pan, brown sausage in oil with onion, garlic & fennel seed.
- Cook until sausage is brown and onion is tender.
- Drain all liquid from pan.
- Add tomatoes (undrained) Parm cheese, Basil & Oregano.
- Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Spoon half of topping onto each par-baked crust.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake 10-15 minutes until crus is crisp and cheese is lightly browned.
