  1. Heat the apple cider and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium-low heat; do not boil. Add the whisky and vanilla extract. Stir for a few seconds. Remove from heat and pour into a mug. To finish, add the bitters and sprinkle with cinnamon. Garnish with lemon slice and cinnamon stick or star anise. Makes 1 serving.
